CertVerify is operated by Paradigm Rigging Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the CertVerify platform at certs.paradigmrigging.com (the "Service").
Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, company name, contact name, and phone number. If you register through an organization invite, we collect the same information.
Equipment & Certificate Data: When calibration certificates are uploaded, we extract and store equipment serial numbers, calibration dates, test results, calibration standards, and related technical data. PDF certificate files are stored for download.
Usage Data: We log equipment lookups (IP address, browser user agent, timestamp) to track scan activity. We also maintain audit logs of administrative actions for security purposes.
QR Code Scans: When a QR code is scanned or a serial number is looked up on the public portal, we record the IP address and user agent of the request. No personal identification is collected from public lookups.
We use your information to operate and improve the Service, including: providing calibration certificate verification, managing equipment ownership records, generating QR codes for equipment identification, sending expiry notification emails (if enabled), and maintaining platform security through audit logs.
Public Portal: Equipment calibration status, certificate history, and calibration provider details are displayed publicly when looked up by serial number or QR code. Ownership information is displayed only according to your privacy settings — you control whether your company name and contact details appear publicly.
Organization Members: If you belong to an organization on CertVerify, other members of your organization can view shared equipment and certificate data according to their role permissions.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share information only if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Railway (database) and Vercel (application). We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), JWT-based authentication, and rate limiting. Certificate PDF files are stored securely in our database.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Equipment and certificate data is retained indefinitely to maintain calibration history records, which are critical for safety compliance. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information but may retain anonymized equipment records where required for the integrity of the calibration registry.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. You can update your profile information and privacy settings directly through your dashboard. You can control whether your ownership information appears publicly on equipment lookups.
CertVerify uses JWT tokens stored in your browser's local storage for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.
CertVerify is a business-to-business service and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
